I attended Winthrop College in the fall of '85 and spring of '86. My parents were concerned I wouldn't graduate since I wasn't fully concentrating on my studies. I was bribed with a car to attend school closer to home. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan College in 1989 with a BA in Psychology. I worked with Anderson County DSS for 14 years. I eventually became so miserable with my job that I decided to resign and take some time off. I've been with Easley Hospital for a little over 3 years now. I work in the ER registering patients when they come in for treatment. I really like it there!I met my husband Joe on a blind date many years ago. We dated for a long time before we married in 2001. He graduated from Daniel in 1984 and never lets me forget it. (Especially during football season). We don't have children but have pets that we treat like children. We are pretty much homebodies. We play with our black lab named Ellie and our cat named Butterbean, we watch lots of movies, read, play on the computer, etc. Life is good. |

School Story: |
|
One of my favorite memories is playing Powderpuff football. Our class won our Junior and Senior years. I played defense and got irritated when one of the players on the opposite team ran down the sidline with one had over her flag. I think I knocked her out of bounds. I can't remember her name right now but I'm sure it will come to me. I also have fond memories of some of our teachers. Mrs. Blanton was probably my favorite. She was a great teacher and sweet lady. I loved it when she got on her "soapbox". |
